Valley of the Sun - Dining

The culinary scene in the Valley of the Sun is truly impressive, as the Valley boasts an impressive array of the nation’s finest dining establishments and numerous group settings that mix the culture of the area with the cuisine.

The list of resorts that boast Four and Five Star restaurants rivals any location in the country for dining experience. AAA’s Four Diamond Awards for 2007 went to 20 Valley restaurants. Kai at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort, honored with the prestigious Five Diamond status, is the first Native-American owned restaurant to receive this status.

As the sun fades and night falls, the desert quickly cools, but the nightlife is just heating up. Hotspots range from trendy nightclubs to more relaxed sports bars.

Adjacent to ASU, the Mill Avenue District in Tempe is the center of a thriving university nightlife and home to over 100 restaurants, nightclubs, taverns and shops. With four microbreweries in Tempe – including Four Peaks Brewery which is tucked away in a historic creamery building – guests are sure to find something unique and previously untried.

In Scottsdale, hip clubs serving progressive dance and salsa mix it up with other venues offering upscale downtime in cozy wine bars and bistros. Downtown Scottsdale alone boasts more than 30 nightspots.

From planning intimate fine dining for a small executive group to a cowboy cookout for thousands of conventioneers, the Valley’s dining and nightlife will meet your needs and exceed your expectations.
